Meet the Benson's

These are two of my dear friends, Emily and Andy. I was lucky enough to be put in Emily's apartment my first semester in Rexburg. And being the wonderful person she is, she took me under her wing and helps me figure everything out. I met Andy that first semester too, and knew right away they needed to be together forever.
So thank you Andy for always being so funny, and amazing. And Thanks Emily for always being there for me. And helping me be the best me. I love you both, and was so happy you allowed me to be there on your amazing day.

This one is my favorite, because first Emily looks so stunning, second she was waving right to me, and third she looks just so happy!

Photography Class!

This is my first semester as a Studio Fine Art Major. And its all new, and scary, but most of all...Its the best thing I have ever done. I love my online drawing class (except when you ask me- right before something is due.) I also mostly love my Art History Class, except its hard, and sometimes I get sleepy. Photography is excellent, I love seeing such a variety of talented photographers each week. And learning the how, what, and whys behind photography. And my favorite thing is being forced to photograph at least once a week. It's so fun because when I bug people and make them model for me (kayla) I can just say its for class. Everyone becomes more willing then. I also love than I now have mounted prints of my photos. So without further adieu. Some of my work so far.

READ!

For the last 4 months I have been just drooling over the Canon 5D mark II. So I finally convinced my dad to help me buy it. So I get home after driving 8 hours, totally ready to drive some more to go get it. But I'm forced to wait a day. Which yes, almost killed me. However we all went to the store (mom, dad, even sister) and got the box for the 5D. Then this caring sales person starts asking me if I really need the 5D full frame. And of course my answer was yes, haha. However they convinced me the 7D is better price for what I'll be doing, and guess what. It still does video, and has amazing quality. So I guess you could say it was love at first sight. My heart has been stolen my this 7D. And I'm thrilled to share this video with you.
It's of the famous Bridger Bailey. He is probably the most fabulous child you will ever meet. Now this was like the 3 video I have ever made with my camera, so I went a little crazy with the focusing, and its not super awesome. But the quality is!
So check check check, check it out. :)

Dirk and Courtney Engaged

My first engagement session, and its with my favorite (and only) big brother. He is engaged to basically his high school sweetheart. Ever since they met they spend ever minute together. They share, laugh, and even learn together. I'm so happy to see Dirk happy. He is my older brother so we have had our ups and downs, but we have always had an understanding. And I know he wants the best for me, as I do for him. Courtney is already part of the family, and we all just can't wait to make it official. They will be getting married Oct. 9. 2010. They tried to do 10.10.10 but its to much of a crazy day. Well without further adieu...meet my brother Dirk, and his fabulous fiancée Courtney.

Thanks for trusting me with these!

Kayla Lazinka

This is my first time ever going out shooting, with two lens. And I'll tell you its not as easy as one might thing switching lens' while holding the base and another lens. This is going to take some practice, luckily Kayla was extremely helpful, and stood there patiently while I struggled to find which lens worked best. I love my 50mm but its so hard after years of being able to zoom so easily. But the colors and f-stop on my 50mm is worth the hassle of running around my subject. So here as some of my favorites from the two days we shot, Kayla was also kind enough to jump in and out of the car as we stopped several times on our way to Idaho Falls.

Thanks Kayla,
